First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has joined our little corner of the internet and engages with our content. Your support and interest means the world to us.
The beginning of 2025 was hard for me. I started the year with a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I was wrestling with postpartum anxiety, my baby’s dairy allergy and the whirlwind that comes with parenting two small kids around the clock. Being their mom is my greatest joy, but somewhere along the way I realized that I was spending all of my waking moments meeting everyone else’s needs and neglecting my own. I was desperately craving a hobby for myself but realized I didn’t even know what I liked to do anymore because I’d been in the thick of it with small kids for so long.
Summer came and since I work in education, we tend to jam pack our summers with trips. We have always enjoyed traveling, but last summer was MAGIC. We went on a 10-day road trip to Orlando and visited Epic Universe, sailed on the Utopia of the Seas and enjoyed Disney’s Polynesian resort over the July 4th weekend. We visited Colorado for the first time ever on a parents’ getaway and saw back to back concerts at the incredible Red Rocks Amphitheater. We went on our first Disney cruise onboard the Disney Treasure and fell completely in love with it. The summer of 2025 showed us that traveling with our kids is our favorite way to make new memories and bond with them. I wanted to remember every moment from that summer and found myself taking tons of videos on my phone during our trips.
In the fall, we officially became Disney Vacation Club owners at the Riviera Resort and that itch for a creative outlet returned. After that summer filled with magical getaways had brought me so much joy, it instantly made sense to start this blog and our YouTube channel. Even though our first vlog series was messy; a product of videos recorded on our cell phones and mirrorless camera, I knew I wanted this channel to be a resource for other parents who wanted to create the same magical memories, so messy as it may be, this series highlights our real, raw experiences traveling on a 3-part trip with small kids.
Since putting out that vlog series, I’ve learned so much about YouTube, about filming, about creating an online community and about myself. Going into 2026, I’m excited to put my new skills (and some shiny new camera equipment) to use. Starting this month, we will be releasing two YouTube series: Our 4 night Disney Destiny sailing and “DVC Down and Dirty – what it really costs to purchase and use a Disney Vacation Club membership”.
We have several trips planned this year to Universal, multiple Disney World resorts, Disneyland and a cruise on the Disney Wish and we can’t wait to share tons of content! Please drop a comment below and let us know what you’re hoping to take away from this blog and our community and we will do our best to deliver!
From our family to yours, Happy New Year ♥️
